SUPPORT: [email protected] (phone model, os version, problem description please).

Compatible: iPhone 3G, 3GS, 4
- Confidentiality:nothing is sent out of the appli.
- No ads.
- Interruptible any times without loss of route points.
- Fixed-scale Google map.
- Distance in km and miles.
- Optimized power consumption.

USAGE

First press the departure button of the appli when starting a trip. This button erases previous route so that new route is drawn on clean map. Then press the return button of the appli when you go back to the departure point. Your outward route and your current return route are displayed side by side in resp. blue and red color. By comparison you understand which way to go.

If you do nothing above except answering OK to "find way back would like to use your current location", the appli will continuously record and draw your route on screen. Good for the 1st-time user.

IMPORTANT NOTES
-answer OK to "find way back would like to use your current location"
-Lock the screen (phones Screen Lock button) any time you dont need it. "Find way back" will continue to run.
-Cell Data Network (Settings>General>Network> Cell Data Network) must always be on in order for iPhone A-GPS to work, it needs the GPS assistance file from net to operate. No Cell Data Network, no GPS!!!
-Map is intentionally not zoom-able for power saving reason: all map views have fixed scale to maximize system caching and avoid swap-out. Less net access = battery saving.

BUTTONS
Five commands on bottom:
-Departure button
-Return button
-Center button: center map on your current GPS position then keep your subsequent new position in view.
-Overview button: open another view where your complete route, whatever the size, is scaled to fit. Gives you a rough idea about the shape and span of your route.
-Lock button: hide above buttons to avoid mis-tap. Press again to unlock.

INDICATORS
On top-right:
-"GPS" in red barred: no GPS fix has been received recently.
-"GPS" in green: GPS is good.

SAVING POWER

During your outdoor trip, lock the screen as much as possible by pressing the phones Screen Lock button. This will result in a lot of power saving.
